CHALLENGES

Traditionally, for a transportation company, a weighbridge is installed, and a security guard in the guard house has to manually register the truck entering and exiting against its log book for records and future references. Additionally, for every staff member entering, a standard intercom or access control system is used to tag or swipe to open the boom gates. While this type of operation is very standard, if it can be automated, it can improve the efficiency and flow of daily operations.

SOLUTION

The Digifort ANPR engine, powered by Carmen and Neural Labs, can be used to provide automated LPR and container ID checking. The recorded license plate or container ID can additionally be integrated with third-party systems to create a centralized system that consolidates LPR, container ID, and container weight into a single interface and reports. The Digifort system can also register black and white lists to create automated boom gate access for authorized and unauthorized vehicles. With its built-in parking system, it can produce additional reports containing the duration of all vehicles that have entered and exited.
