Perimeter Intrusion Detection
CHALLENGES
It is not uncommon for an unauthorized person to break into the campus during after-hours, only for the surveillance system to be unable to identify this individual due to environmental factors such as lighting, viewing distance, and picture quality. Designing a system to identify the attributes of these individuals and, if possible, zooming in on the person upon alerting can be very beneficial for operations.
SOLUTION
Hanwha Vision P series AI has the ability to capture the attributes of any person entering its scenery. These attributes can include gender, clothing colour, and age bracket. As long as the lighting is sufficient, meaning the area is supported by street lighting, it is possible to capture these attributes via the AI features. Once the intrusion is triggered, a pan-tilt-zoom type camera can be added to zoom and auto-track the movement of the target for as long as it remains within the coverage area. Alternatively, Hanwha Vision X series, powered by the Wisenet 7 chipset, enhances low light conditions to provide excellent colour pictures in low light conditions. Additionally, with the launch of the white-light based camera range, cameras can produce LED illumination upon detection of intrusion to eliminate lighting issues altogether.
