CHALLENGES

Traditionally, critical infrastructures are constructed and located in remote open fields with limited human resources. This type of security measure fundamentally relies heavily on the efficiency and accuracy of the surveillance system to alert users promptly and accurately. Traditional CCTV cameras using motion pixels for object detection can cause various levels of false alarms, especially if the area is impacted by harsh weather or subtle movements, which then result in numerous alarms being reported to the operators. On top of these difficulties, it is also a challenge to have a 360-degree view without blind spots of the immense field when the installation structure of CCTV cameras is limited.

SOLUTION

Hanwha Vision's P and X series AI cameras have the ability to capture AI data on human or vehicle, eliminating pixel-based detection which are the main caused of false alarms. These cameras can precisely determine if a human or vehicle has entered a restricted area, triggering an event notification only when the correct object is detected. Once an intrusion is detected, they can be linked to a pan-tilt-zoom camera to zoom in and auto-track the movement of the target for as long as it remains within the coverage area, or it can be linked to the Hanwha audio management system to sound of an alarm, immediately notifying and alerting the premise. In some challenging environment where installation fixtures are heavily restricted, the newly introduced P series multi-sensor camera has all these features built-in, with only a single cable needed to connect from the power to the camera unit, it can be retrofitted to any existing structure, increasing the pre-existing single area coverage to a 360-degree blind-spot-free coverage in a single installation.
